"Cultures are not static; they are always evolving as people respond to new conditions and influences. The relationships between ethnic groups and the dominant culture also change and vary over time and place."
culture is not a fixed of stationary condition its like growing as people or any living things because they are being reacted/ affected by new technologies and theories which can make life easier and better. as i compare to ancient century life culture today is more easier but it strives a lot of effort for us to commit in easy lifestyle. there;s alot of reasons why it change one thing is the climate/environment which is now changing and people can't stop this they can make it slow but accept the mere fact that whatever we do we are now experiencing global warming.going back to the topic, as i've seen it individual and community behavior is one of the factors which helps the culture rapidly change. specially in what they seen and hear.ethnic group these are the people thought to have common ancestry who share a distinctive culture.while the dominica their are the pople who often seen as a society that is migrating from collectivism to that of individualism. they also affected by this culture change which leads to improvement of each economy status.-angelae sevilla
ReplyDeleteit is commonly a fact that we individuals do change.. nobody is the same . people may be influence by others or it can be the influnce of the new genration, because technology are really one of the consistent influence that persuade individuals to do thing and so... there are many ethnic group that are majority of these adopt foreign element in culture. dominant culture refers to the established language, religion, behavior, values, rituals, and social customs it is usually the pattern in the society as a whole. from time tp time these types of elements changes and cab also be influence by other cultures.
ReplyDeleteJoesel Venus C Culture is a way of life more than a tradition... it is dynamic because people are exposed to different societal forces such as politics, governance, policy, economy, religion, technology, business, media and technology... another factor to consider in our evolving culture is the geographical and topographical nature of the country... more than hundred islands far away from civilization and technology tend to shape and create its own culture... this is greatly explain by having more than a hundred dialects and languages... way of life is also a prominent trademark of our diverse culture brought about by changing weather and climate from northern to southern part of the country...7 hrs ago
ReplyDeletei took the liberty of posting Joesel's comments on this page so others may also read her work. For some reason, she posted this on my fb page instead. i would suggest the 4th group would sit in one corner and discuss how things work especially those who are familiar with the technology. I guess, I have to extend the deadline of this forum til Midnight later. Please post more comments. Notice that I have posted a new deadline on the Title. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteit can also be brought about by quality of education available to people from less civilize to more civilize areas...
globalization also plays an integral role in nurturing cultures and sub-cultures... technology and media greatly give an ...explanation between the difference of people from suburbs than those from the cities...See More

as i read all your answers, it seems like the common denominator for change is technology. I like the way joesel explained her idea. factors like topographical, educational, politics and governance were not taken aside. Those things were most often overlooked. The challenge of every society and nation now is to preserve the culture and legacy of our ancestors.
ReplyDeleteThis also reminds me of the saying "The only permanent thing in this world is Change". With this, we must be open to the possibilities of TOTAL Change. we may not feel it right away because it is just subtle, and this will be visible after years have passed.
Good analogy on tte given saying. Another grade for you, girls. Marvy and Angelae shall receive 90%, while Joesel 92%.
With this, bear in mind that no matter how one is naive on new things ,especially in technolgy, there is always a way to learn them. One must have to be resourceful, and then again OPEN to these new stuff. gumawa ng paraan. humingi ng tulong kung papaano gawin ang mga bagay-bagay. do not just merely rely on your ignorance. reluctance is not an excuse.
